This is mainly the last of the thrifted photos! The jacket sees to be quite versatile and i'm just about loving the beaded chests, gold lining, and shiny buttons. (: 

Funny story, this afternoon, i met Jamie for some downtown shopping after she woke me up and RAVED to me about how amazing this 50% Aldo sale was! Because she had already hit the store before i got there, i went to the Aldo store by myself and we had planned to meet up after. But before i got there, she had called me specifically saying

"DONT GET THE SAME SHOES AS ME!"

- Yet not telling me what her new shoes even looked like. haha. And because of my very bad luck, all the shoes i was dying to get were not in my size! But eventually i found a pair i quite liked, 50% off, for $20! (probably going to be shown on the blog soontimes :) 

So then of course you can guess when i met up with Jamie later, they ended up being the same pair of heels. The only difference? She snagged the last size of the color i wanted ! But ah well. at least now we can switch heels with different color!  

P.S. I've been watching TONS of movies lately: Inglorious Bastards and i LOVED (500) Days of Summer. I recommend both.

Jamie &i THRIFTING.

At first, we began thrifting off to a bad start when we found MARC JACOBS jelly flats that weren't our sizes. Too BIG! After that, the million pairs of cute vintage shoes turned out to be either super HUGE or toe-crunchingly small. When we moved from the shoes to the clothes, things started looking up...

Spotted a Givenchy wizard-like blazer/jacket/cape combination. for ten bucks ! it might have been just a bit too crazy for everyday wear though. just a little.

We skimmed through the wedding gowns- most of them were from waay back when.

Just to think of the their past owners and their history PRIOR to their home at value village is just pretty cool.

In the end, we actually ended up with an overflowing cart ! (though we did cut down most of it before cashing out.)

The first time we went thrifting, we didn't even want to touch ANYTHING. After going a few times, (getting used to the smell, ) we knew to come prepared with hand sanitizer and OPEN minds for all those wacky pieces lying aroundd. In the end, it was quite successful.

Jamie got: 1) a cute peace sign ring, 2) an oversized plaid men's shirt, 3) a metallic-purple bat-winged zip up. (very american apparel.)

Me: 1) a Patchwork denim jacket, 2) a floral long sleeved frock dress to diy with, 3) an acid washy fringe vest, 4) a black beaded velvet blazer, 5) a very cute denim romperr.

But really, what's hers is mine and what's mine is hers. double the closet. ;)

Home Sweet Homee.

Apologies for the lack of postings as i've been away and my partner JAMIE has been insanely MIA. **HINT HINT JAMIE.**

But perhaps she's been too "busy" -

ANYWAY..
Came back from my amazingg trip last week from Europe to my home sweet home in TO.

Curently MISSING:
- Gelato everywhere i turn' yumm.
- the SUN & the 40degree heat.
- the shopping. ohh the shopping.
- Most of all, waking up to my GIRLIES; &missing you all. ;)

This past week has also been quite HECTIC..

Filling all the cravings i've had:
- SUSHI. mmm.
- ENGLISH STORES. speaking english. good ol' english.
- sleeping in 'till noon.
- the privacy and sanctuary of my ROOM. *SIGH(:
- Most of all, my FRIENDS all of whom i wish i coulda stuffed in my suitcase with mee.

Aside from unpacking, laundry, and REpacking everything into my closet, i'm sure my friends &&i agree that the week has been insanely jam packed. hah ;) Thank GOODNESS work has given me a week off after a taking a whole month off to loaft, get over my JET LAG, and just to prepare myself for reality agaiin.
